Began Taekwon-Do: 2002

Why did you start doing Taekwon-Do?
I started because I love martial arts which came from watching movies, especially “Jet Li”. I met someone who did Taekwon-Do became friends and got into it.

Why do you still train now?
Taekwon-Do is more than a sport it’s an art and a way of life. I couldn’t imagine life without Taekwon-Do.

Do you have plans for your future in Taekwon-Do?
Representing New Zealand

Favourite aspect of the Martial Arts:
Training and competing, I love pushing my body to the limit, and wen you have a good trainer pushing you it’s a better buzz.

Highlights along the way:
Winning regional, national and international competitions. It’s a great feeling knowing you’re the best in your division.

Major Influences In Taekwon-Do:
Luke Thompson and DJ Thompson are both great mentors, having them both represent New Zealand.

Greatest Rewards:
Learning to use my body to defend and protect myself and others. Know awesome people with the same goals.

Future Goals:
Representing New Zealand.

Final Words:
No guts, no glory.
